COUNTY OF WASHINGTON ID/Autism Program Director in WASHINGTON, Pennsylvania

ID/AUTISM PROGRAM DIRECTOR - The County of Washington Behavioral Health & Developmental Services Department is seeking applicants for the position of ID/Autism Program Director. The starting salary for the position is $65,901.07 with a generous benefits package, including family health insurance, retirement contribution, and wellness benefits/activities for both employees and their families, paid time off (vacation and sick) and employee assistance program (EAP).

  1. The position is 8:30-4:30 Monday through Friday and will require work outside of normal scheduled hours due to meetings, trainings or other administrative need.
  2. The position is of both an administrative and supervisory nature and involves program planning, analysis, coordination and implementation of ID/Autism services. They oversee the Developmental Services program of BHDS to assure quality compliance with legislative requirements and mandates. They also study, analyze and evaluate community needs and resources. The position is also responsible for coordinating the review of data/documents pertinent to the continuation of existing services and the planning/development of new programs in the field of ID/Autism. In addition to supervising departmental staff, the position is responsible for the development, submission and implementation of the annual County QM Plan.
  3. The position requires one (1) year as a County Intellectual Disability Program Specialist; OR five (5) years of professional level experience in the field of intellectual disabilities, including three (3) years of administrative, supervisory, or consultative work; and a bachelor's degree; OR any equivalent combination of experience and training.
