Spinrite is the largest craft yarn and sewing thread company in North America. As an industry leader focused on driving growth and execution excellence, we are looking for an End User Technology Technician to join our growing IT team.
Reporting to the Infrastructure Support Manager, the End User Technology Technician will be the first point of contact for any IT related issues. The End User Technology Technician will support the IT team by monitoring and responding to internal requests, troubleshooting technical issues and setting up equipment across our locations. This role will focus on the US locations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide IT support and guidance on-site or remotely in a professional manner
Triage incoming service desk tickets, keeping stakeholders and assignees on task to meet SLA's
Respond, and route service desk tickets for internal customers in a timely manner
Act as Level 1 support for Phishing email reports into the KnowB4 system
Participate in the employee onboarding process by setting up new users and ensuring they have appropriate access to the needed hardware and software in an ergonomically friendly workspace
Install and upgrade software, install hardware and configure systems and applications
Administer authentication and access to specific systems such as phone system, ERP and WMS authentication, Salsify and other as necessary
Monitor progress of outstanding issues and ensure users remain up to date with consistent follow-up
Perform preventative maintenance on the company's hardware and software
Creation of documentation and SOPs
Must be available to travel to local locations as needed
Qualifications:
Technical diploma or degree, or equivalent work experience (3-5 years)
Knowledge of computer hardware, network security protocols and software applications (Endpoint O/S's – All versions of Windows and OSX, and Office 365)
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present concepts in user-friendly language in person and on paper
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Strong attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks under time constraints
