Naval Sea Systems Command SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in Washington Navy Yard, District Of Columbia

Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Acquisition Logistics Branch of PMS 400D Program Office, Program Executive Office for Ships (PEO SHIPS) of PROGRAM EXECUTIVE OFFICE SHIPS. Responsibilities You will manage the development and implementation of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Planning in accordance with applicable DOD/Navy and customer ILS policy and guidance. You will formulate, develop, and implement methods and procedures by which the DDG 51 Class ILS personnel will pursue logistics support requirements and other program related goals and objectives. You will manage the development and implementation of in-process reviews, audits, etc. to ensure all ILS resources required to ensure the ships crews are trained in accordance with the training objectives in the applicable acquisition contract. You will liaise with Fleet representatives and other Program Offices for inter-related product support matters. You will serve on a Senior Management advisory Committee and assist in the formulation and execution of goals, plans, and budgets for the Directorate. You will develop and maintains Life Cycle Cost estimates for assigned systems equipment baselines to include test sites. You will direct the product support definition, transition, and implementation of next generation systems. You will interact with associated Program Office Divisions, interpret, and disseminate higher-level policies and directives. You will perform short- and long-range planning, coordinate and integrate tasking and determine the most effective and efficient utilization of resources. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band (NH-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector developing acquisition plans and milestones for the procurement of components; directing the implementation and execution of program plans; identifying resource requirements; monitoring operations to improve logistics support time; monitoring logistics funds distributions or expenditures for projects or programs; and coordinating and integrating separate logistics functions for efficient and timely logistics support for a destroyer acquisition program.
