Responsibilities You will oversee your assigned project areas by managing their cost, schedule, and performance, which includes independently planning tasks for both internal staff and external contractors. You will provide technical expertise and program analysis for the development of complex systems, creating system control and mission planning capabilities that meet project objectives. You will offer guidance and direction to project teams by coordinating the efforts of various organizations and subject matter experts to ensure alignment on system control and planning. You will prepare, analyze, and review project documentation, briefs, and reports, providing expert recommendations to senior leadership and representing the program in high-level meetings. You will coordinate and lead program-level meetings and working groups by developing agendas and ensuring that critical program information is effectively communicated across all teams. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or NH-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate program analysis and technical leadership for analyzing and/or advising on weapon control systems, nuclear mission planning, or submarine platform systems integration, including managing projects, coordinating teams, and providing strategic recommendations. Education Additional Information This announcement uses the Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) Business & Technical Management direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in competitive service. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. This position is part of the Navy Nuclear Deterrent Mission. Several vacancies may be filled. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
