Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the Post-Secondary Students and Recent Graduates Direct Hire Authority. Responsibilities At the GS-07 you will perform developmental duties as assigned. At the Full Performance Level (GS-09) you will perform the duties listed below: You will conduct comprehensive studies of work, process improvement, program management and a variety of management projects to refine and improve commemorative planning projects. You will assist with development and implementation of data collection templates and methodologies. You will help plan, develop, administer and evaluate the commemorative program and execute procedures to facilitate various historic holdings, events, news, milestones and commemorations and enhance awareness of the Navy's history and heritage. You will evaluate short, mid, and long range planning and current contingency requirements of the mission. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector communicating with both internal and external stakeholders in order for the command to successfully carry out its mission. Strong oral and written communication skills are a must, in addition to being able to analyze program performance in order to make recommendations for process improvements. Knowledge of logistics is helpful, as budgeting, travel, and shipping, are all essential to fully successful performance of the job. Examples of specialized experience may include: 1) Aids in conducting studies of work, process improvement, program management and/or a variety of management projects; 2) Documents processes to assure the existence of sufficient historical data; 3) Helps identify the need for changes within organizations and procedures. GS-09:Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector communicating with both internal and external stakeholders in order for the command to successfully carry out its mission. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: GS-07:1 full year of graduate level education, such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. OR A bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement OR A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. GS-09:A master's or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B. or J.D., if related. OR A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
