Job Title: Production Machine Operator

Job Description

Join a collaborative, team-oriented manufacturing environment supporting the construction industry. As a General Production Worker, you’ll play a hands-on role preparing and assembling steel materials used in large-scale construction projects. This position involves operating production machinery, rotating through multiple tasks, and working safely in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cut, and process steel materials used in construction assemblies.

  • Operate machinery and production equipment with training provided.

  • Rotate between production tasks to support workflow and team efficiency.

  • Work closely with teammates to meet production and quality standards.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience working in manufacturing or production, or similar role.

  • Experience performing or willingness to perform fast-paced, physically demanding work.

  • Ability to work as part of a team.

  • Good attitude and willingness/eagerness to learn.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Production skills including general labor, hand tool, machine operation, assembly, power tool usage.

  • Experience with machine operating, general production, packing, tape measure, mechanical tasks.

  • Skills in hand and power tools, shear, press machine operation, construction, framing, carpentry.

  • Knowledge of saw operation, yard work, site cleanup, and fabrication.

Work Environment

Work in a non-climate controlled manufacturing facility, which can get very hot in the summer. Training will be on the 1st shift for approximately 1–4 weeks, followed by regular hours on the 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) or 3rd shift (9:30 PM – 6:00 AM). Shift differential of +$2/hour for off-shift work is offered. Flexibility is required for 10-hour shifts, occasional Saturday work, and mandated overtime, with schedules posted the Thursday prior.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $32.00/hr.
