Job Summary
EMCOR Government Services is seeking a Journeyman Electrician in Southeast Washington, DC. This position is covered by the CBA for Local 26.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance, service calls, read and understand blueprints, inspections, and supervise subcontractors.
Troubleshooting
Utilize general knowledge of motors, switchgear, emergency generation, UPS, fire, HVAC, and related electrical building systems.
Qualifications
Licensed Journeyman Electrician (DC, MD and VA)
Be able to demonstrate practical knowledge of an Electrician
Minimum of 2 years of experience in performing operation and maintenance tasks in a government or commercial office environment
Be proficient in the use of Electricians tools such as meters etc.
Troubleshooting skills a must
Must have general knowledge of motors, switchgear, emergency generation, UPS, fire, HVAC, and related electrical building systems.
Physical Demands
• Work requires an abundance of walking, bending, Kneeling, and working in uncomfortable positions.
• Must be able to move/lift heavy objects, climb vertical ladders, work at heights
