About the Role:
ABM is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor – Commercial HVAC to lead HVAC operations within assigned commercial facilities in the Washington, DC market. This role is responsible for supervising technicians, overseeing daily HVAC operations, and ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality service delivery. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on commercial HVAC expertise—including chillers and boilers—combined with effective leadership, safety accountability, and customer focus.
Shift: 6am-2:30pm Monday-Friday (rotating on call schedule)
Pay: $48 per hour (USD)
The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. You may be eligible to participate in a Company incentive or bonus program.

Responsibilities
What You’ll Do:
Supervise, coach, and schedule HVAC technicians and lead technicians
Oversee daily commercial HVAC operations, including PMs, repairs, and emergency response
Provide technical oversight for chillers, boilers, AHUs, RTUs, VAVs, BAS, and central plant systems
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, local codes, and client requirements
Maintain accurate documentation, work orders, and inspection records
Support audits, inspections, and life-safety testing
Monitor labor utilization, materials, and vendor performance
Use CMMS systems to track work orders, PM schedules, and KPIs
Serve as the primary HVAC point of contact for clients and facility stakeholders

Qualifications
What We’re Looking For: Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required
HVAC Certification
Minimum 5 years of progressive commercial HVAC experience
2 plus years in a supervisory, lead, or operations role
Demonstrated hands-on experience with:
Commercial chillers and boiler systems
Central plant operations and BAS-controlled environments
Proven ability to operate, troubleshoot, and oversee maintenance of chiller and boiler plants
Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, life-safety, and local building codes
Proficiency with CMMS and operational reporting tools
EPA Universal Certification required
Ability to pass pre-employment background screening and any client-specific clearance requirements
Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
Low-Pressure Boiler or Boiler Operator License
OEM chiller training or advanced HVAC certifications (NATE or equivalent)
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
Experience supporting government, healthcare, data center, or large commercial facilities
Experience with vendor management, audits, and budget support
