Aston Carter Front Desk Receptionist in Washington, District Of Columbia

Job Title: Front Desk ReceptionistJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated and personable Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining our office operations by greeting visitors, managing calls, and providing administrative support.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and direct visitors to the appropriate person or department.

  • Provide information and answer the telephone or console switchboard efficiently.

  • Receive and send packages via couriers promptly.

  • Maintain the visitor log and call record, issue security passes/badges, and perform typing, filing, or other simple clerical functions.

  • Manage the boardroom schedule and ensure equipment is available and functional.

  • Provide additional administrative support as required, including typing, filing, photocopying, binding books, and preparing mailers.

Essential Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent multi-tasking and customer service abilities.

  • Proficient interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and staff.

  • Capability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Ability to keep information organized and maintain confidentiality.

  • Experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.

Work Environment

The work environment is professional, requiring business casual attire. The role involves working in an office setting with standard office equipment and technology. The position is typically a full-time role with regular office hours.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Washington, DC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
