Robert Half Executive Assistant in Washington, District Of Columbia
Description We are looking for an Executive Assistant to provide high-level administrative support to the Chief Financial Officer of a non-profit organization based in Washington, District of Columbia. This contract-to-permanent position requires a proactive individual with exceptional organizational skills who can manage a variety of tasks in a fast-paced executive environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the seamless operation of the CFO’s office while maintaining confidentiality and a high standard of conduct.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the CFO’s complex calendar by scheduling and coordinating meetings, appointments, and related logistics.
• Organize travel arrangements, including booking flights, accommodations, and transportation, while ensuring cost efficiency.
• Prepare agendas, compile relevant documents, and record detailed minutes for meetings, tracking follow-up actions as needed.
• Screen and prioritize incoming communications, responding promptly and accurately to inquiries.
• Assist in creating and reviewing presentations, reports, and other documents, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational standards.
• Coordinate logistics for board meetings, finance committee sessions, and executive leadership team gatherings.
• Process expense reports, invoices, and assist in monitoring departmental budgets.
• Support special projects and handle ad hoc requests, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of results.
• Uphold confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information related to the organization and executive leadership.
• Maintain a structured and organized workflow to ensure the CFO’s office operates efficiently. Requirements • Proven experience in supporting C-suite executives or senior leadership, preferably within finance or accounting sectors.
• Advanced organizational and multitasking capabilities to handle diverse responsibilities.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills to interact professionally with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as virtual meeting platforms.
• Ability to work independently, anticipate executive needs, and proactively solve problems.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred, though equivalent experience may be considered.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in high-pressure situations.
