Jewelry Straps LLC Event-Based Cook in Washington, District Of Columbia
Job Duties: Prepare and cook food for temporary pop-up sales and promotional events. Duties include preparing authentic Honduran dishes such as baleadas, tamales, pastelitos, and similar items; setting up and breaking downtemporary kitchen stations; cooking and plating food during event hours; maintaining sanitation and food safety standards; assisting with ingredient preparation and inventory; and cleaning the work area at the conclusion ofevents.
Work Schedule: Part-time, event-based schedule consisting of approximately 18 hours per week. Work hours will vary based onscheduled pop-up events and may include evening hours during weekdays and morning or daytime hours on weekends. Specific daily schedules will be provided in advance of each event.
Wage:The offered wage is $34.81 per hour, which is at or above the prevailing wage as determined by the U.S. Department of Labor for SOC 35-1011 (Chefs and Head Cooks). Job Location: Temporary pop-up and promotional event locations within the Washington DC Metro Area.
Employment Dates:
Begin Date: April 11, 2026
End Date: January 10, 2027
Nature of Temporary Need: One-time occurrence. The position is needed to support a limited series of scheduled pop-up events and will notcontinue beyond the stated end date.
Requirements:
Experience preparing and cooking food in a commercial or event-based setting
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen equipment as needed
