Actalent Environmental Project Manager in Washington, District Of Columbia

Job Title: Environmental Project ManagerJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Project Manager to develop corrective action plans and comprehensive site assessments, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to submit these plans and effectively collaborate with regulatory agencies. This role requires proficiency in geoprobe and sub-environment sampling oversight, as well as experience with Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and implement Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) and Compliance Service Agreements (CSAs).

  • Oversee field operations for tank pulls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies, including the Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE), to resolve or remediate Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST) cases.

  • Conduct soil and groundwater studies and sampling, and analyze results.

  • Facilitate environmental remediation and compliance efforts.

  • Conduct and write Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.

  • Participate in environmental monitoring and project management tasks.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience in environmental remediation and compliance.

  • Proficiency in site assessment and soil sampling.

  • Strong report writing skills.

  • Experience with Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.

  • Knowledge of LUST cases and remediation processes.

  • Expertise in geology and industrial hygiene.

  • Ability to work with regulatory agencies to close LUST cases.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Title V experience related to Clean Air Act regulations is advantageous.

  • Experience with vapor investigations and PFAs in soil and groundwater.

  • Prior experience as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in regulatory agencies like DOE or VDEQ is a plus.

  • Ability to conduct sampling analysis and write groundwater or plume gradients.

  • Experience with Photoionization Detector (PID).

This is a Contract position based out of Washington, DC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $72.11/hr.
