Job Overview
The Collaborative Services Product Manager is directly responsible for leading the University’s efforts in the Collaborative space – including, but not limited to email, calendar and file sharing services. The successful candidate will have a broad knowledge of cloud based collaborative service offerings and in depth knowledge of requirements development. Additionally, they will be able to directly engage internal and external communities to gather information and build compelling business cases for new and exciting offerings.
The Collaborative Services Product Manager works directly with technical staff to translate user requirements into service descriptions. They are also responsible for identifying test scenarios and carrying through those tests (with other team members) when service-impacting changes are made to the product offering. The Collaborative Services Product Manager engages technical writers and training staff to ensure that documentation and instruction are available in a variety of formats to assist university faculty, staff, and students in adapting to changes.
Work Interactions
This position reports directly to the Director Collaboration Services. This person will interact with staff, faculty and students at all levels of the University. This includes members of the president’s cabinet, academic leadership, and student leadership. This person will regularly communicate with top decision makers at the Main Campus, Medical Center, Law Campus, and University Services.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
3+ years’ work experience in enterprise product development and executive communication
Technical Qualifications or Specialized Certification:
Demonstrated ability to develop technical product roadmaps
Product management
Demonstrated initiative researching and developing innovations in technology product space
Business case development, cost analysis
Other Skills:
Multi-functional team leadership
Executive level communication and business case presentation skills
Advanced critical thinking and enthusiasm around the Collaborative space

Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$54,616.00 - $100,493.33
Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
