We are seeking a talented Software Programmer to join our team of engineers and technologists supporting the Department of Justice (DOJ) / Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) in their mission to protect and support secure systems and communications vital to our national security.

As a Software Programmer, you will ensures the ongoing development, availability, health, and maintenance of these secure applications through software development, proactive monitoring and technical support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy applications, ensuring ongoing development, availability, health, and maintenance

  • Provide design services and associated engineering services, adhering to Agile methodologies and DevSecOps framework

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, and develop solutions that meet those needs

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user-level, administrative, and system engineering-level documentation

  • Provide planning and integration services, facilitating the timely rollout of new software releases without negative system impact and with minimal downtime

  • Keep all source code and Agile artifacts stored with proper version control within provided team workspace tools

  • Train staff on the use of custom-built software applications and templates

  • Provide application design, development, and maintenance for applications, including iterative enhancement of all applications within the application stack

  • Adhere to the client Change Control Process for all system changes

  • Provide technical support for existing applications

  • Create and maintain product documentation, including design artifacts, wireframes, functional and business requirements, test plans, build guides, release notes, and user guides

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree (MS or Ph.D.) preferred.

  • Certified Scrum Developer (CSD) Certification REQUIRED

  • Experience : 10 years of experience in software development, with a focus on Agile methodologies, DevSecOps, and software engineering

  • Technical Skills :Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, C , or C#Experience with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or KanbanStrong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software design patternsExperience with DevOps tools, such as Jenkins, Docker, or KubernetesFamiliarity with configuration management tools, such as SharePoint and Tyler Tech

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $132962 - $226035

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
