Job Description
Turner & Townsend Heery is seeking to hire a Project Coordinator/Assistant Project Manager who assists in supporting a portfolio of Facilities Service-related projects, renovations, and their associated budgets under the direction of the Facilities Construction Section Chief.
You will have direct involvement supporting multiple design, construction, and renovation projects to ensure that schedules, budgets, and commitments are delivered on time. Support projects with the engagement with colleagues and clients on the projects, communicates updates to various stakeholders. Also supports Facilities Group in other relevant projects, as needed.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Assists in the development of project processes, attends meetings, statements of work.
Assists with the managing of outsourced contract projects and budgets in accordance with work scope and assignments.
Assists in establishing, reviewing and revising procedures.
Assists with renovations projects from initiation to turnover and ensures activities are performed within the context of Fund-approved budgets, facility, and space master plans, design standards, technical standards, and environmental health and safety requirements.
Assists in tracking requests related to space such as changes, additions, or new functionality. This involves the planning and delivering of related work requests within the Fund's HQ buildings, using a variety of internal and external resources.
Assists with the intake, evaluation, dissemination, and tracking of space and change requests, ensuring activities are approved and implemented on time and in a coordinated, efficient, and cost effective manner.
Seeks out opportunities to improve services and procedures.
Works closely with peers across the different sections and departments to build relationships, to ensure that service delivery is integrated, seamless, cost-effective, and delivered in a timely manner.
Coordinates and engages with Fund departments and service providers to communicate facilities and workplace business requirements and project impacts.
Conducts QA/QC to validate vendors and contractors’ adherence to industry standards and compliance with regulations and Fund requirements and applies performance metrics for data management and measures.
Ensures coordination of work and related operational relationship management with the Fund's departments and ensures full and ongoing alignment of work plan and performance expectations.
Qualifications
Demonstrates expertise and knowledge of facility planning/management and project management in a corporate headquarters including operation of building systems, interior architecture, and workplace strategy.
Has experience in project management, construction management, and vendor management
with demonstrable successes in assisting in the management of complex facilities projects.
Demonstrates initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently with
minimal guidance/supervision while assisting on multiple projects with competing priorities.
Possesses strong technical skills and ability to develop project spreadsheet reports, maintain project records, correspondence, etc.
Demonstrates interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills with special emphasis on expository skills needed to explain two-dimensional plans, design standards, and financial/time constraints.
Has knowledge of finance, purchasing, contract terms, conditions, and facility management technology.
Highly proficient with desktop computing.
Knowledge of MS Office Suite (including Visio/Project) highly desirable.
Education & Experience:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible related experience, which includes assistance in managing multiple renovation projects.
Additional Information
The salary range for this full-time role is $75K-$100K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
