Fayette County Department of Job and Family Services Social Services Worker II - Child Protective Services in Washington Court House, Ohio
We have an amazing opportunity for the right person to join our team! Essential Job Functions: Provide case work services to children and families through the effective implementation of federal/state regulations.
- Receive in, document, and screen allegations of child abuse/neglect
- Investigate allegations, complete assessments
- Interview children, families, and other parties
- Maintain a caseload of families/ children that require protective assistance
- Develop and implement plans for ongoing safety
- Provide adoption and post adoption services to children and families
- Requires extensive travel
- Share with teammates in 24/7 on-call rotation
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related human services field
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Must have a valid Driver's License and dependable vehicle. Must maintain insurability under the county's vehicle insurance policy. May be required to travel within and/or beyond the county or state limits.
- Possess the skills and ability to cope with diverse environments, health hazards, and personal safety issues, including aggressive behaviors
