JOB SUMMARY
Performs advanced electro‑mechanical assembly of complex components and systems using a variety of hand and power tools. Ensures all work meets established quality and quantity standards. Trains employees in basic and advanced assembly procedures and supports continuous improvement in departmental processes.
Days: Monday-Friday 6:00A - 2:00P
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Review shop operation packets, bills of material, and engineering drawings.
Verify that incoming materials meet correct part number, quantity, and quality requirements.
Select appropriate tools, equipment, and components required for complex assembly work.
Perform dimensional checks and follow specified inspection requirements to ensure assembled parts meet specifications.
Use calibrated precision measuring tools and electrical circuit testers during inspections.
Prepare completed components for shipment, including building skids, selecting packaging materials, shrink‑wrapping, banding, and printing labels.
Perform routine operator maintenance and operational checks on departmental tools and equipment.
Sort and properly dispose of scrap or recyclable materials in designated containers.
Lift and move materials up to 75 lbs as needed.
Perform physical motions required for the job, including standing, walking, bending, crouching, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and climbing.
Operate material‑handling equipment to move items within or outside the department.
Follow daily instructions from the Team Leader/Supervisor and work according to established quality standards.
Maintain a safe work environment and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Accurately document all work performed using company forms, logs, or formats.
Keep work area, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and in proper working condition.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS / JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Ability to read and write to follow written instructions and complete job‑related documentation.
Electro‑mechanical assembly experience required.
3–5 years of complex assembly experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints preferred.
