Xylem is looking for a Sales Lead to join our team in Poland. In this position you will be responsible for leading and driving sales performance across the Polish market, managing a team of Sales team. The role focuses on developing and executing the sales strategy, growing revenue within WI segment, and ensuring strong customer and distributors relationships and long-term value creation.
The Sales Lead works closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales EEN, technical, service, customer service and support functions to ensure aligned execution, successful market penetration, and customer success. This role requires strong leadership capabilities, solid commercial acumen, and the ability to translate business strategy into effective sales execution. The role requires strong understanding of the municipal water and wastewater market, including its regulatory and public procurement.
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
Lead, manage and develop the Polish sales organization, including sales team.
Define and execute the local sales strategy in line with regional and company objectives.
Drive revenue growth, market share expansion and profitability across assigned customer segment.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners and strategic stakeholders.
Coach, motivate and support the sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets.
Set clear objectives, monitor performance, and conduct regular performance reviews.
Support key negotiations, strategic deals, and major customer engagements and complex tender-related discussions.
Ensure effective pipeline management, forecasting accuracy and sales reporting.
Collaborate with marketing, sales EEN, technical, customer service and service teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
Identify market trends, customer needs and competitive dynamics; translate insights into actionable sales initiatives.
Ensure full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, ethical standards and compliance requirements, including those relevant to public and municipal customers. Support tender processes, pricing strategies and contract negotiations.
Oversee the introduction of new products and solutions to the Polish market.
Ensure consistent execution of sales processes, tools and standards.
Represent the company at customer meetings, industry events and key market forums.
Perform other tasks assigned by management in line with company goals.
Key Competencies :
University degree (business, engineering or related field preferred).
Minimum 7–10 years of experience in sales, including people management experience.
Proven track record of leading sales teams and delivering sustainable revenue growth.
Strong leadership, coaching and stakeholder management skills.
Strategic mindset combined with hands-on execution capability.
Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
Strong analytical skills and ability to work with sales KPIs, forecasts and budgets.
Experience in working with complex solutions and B2B customers (utilities, industrial or infrastructure sectors preferred).
Willingness to travel within Poland.
Strong English communication skills required for collaboration within an international organization.
