Mars Senior Program Manager, Business Delivery Services in Warsaw, Poland

Job Description:

The role has four dimensions of accountability:

1) Co-ordinate, consolidate and analyse demand and strategic priorities to define and update the pipeline of projects and programmes in BDS:

  • Manage the portfolio categorisation, prioritisation and balancing processes.

  • Manage the portfolio stage-gate process on behalf of BDS/MARS facilitating effective decision making on which projects and programmes are approved.

  • Manage Portfolio Delivery processes driving effective implementation of the Portfolio through the following practices: Management Control; Benefits Management; Financial Management; Risk Management; Stakeholder Engagement; Organisational Governance and Resource Management

  • Implement and manage a Benefits Management process in the Portfolios, ensuring that investments in projects and programmes have defined benefits and a transparent link to the relevant strategy.

  • Advocate and enforcer of Project and Programme Management best practices within the Portfolio.

  • Thought-partner to the DT and Segments on Portfolio Management practices, challenges and opportunities. May be a decision maker where authority is delegated from the Segments

  • Work with the S&F Co-Pilot to ensure alignment of Portfolio and Financial Management processes.

  • Provide transparency on financial, risk, issue and key milestone status for live projects within the Portfolio.

  • Manage all processes to ensure that the Portfolio is managed consistently with associated DT governance processes

2) Ensures that the best in class policies, practices and measurements are in place to maximize the value delivered through our strategic supplier relationships. While this role does not own the individual supplier relationships at the delivery level, it is instrumental in driving consistency in delivery across the totality of the Supplier’s services delivered to the Business:

  • Provide leadership to develop a program of activities that enhance the mutual relationship between the Organisation and its strategic suppliers through managing the relationship lifecycle with the suppliers to maximize the value realized through those interactions

  • Maintain industry knowledge related to the use of external benchmarking for our suppliers to ensure that we are maximizing the TCO

  • Ensures that there is a robust governance in place to proactively manage all aspects of the relationship with the suppliers taking into account KPIs

3) Act as CFO, CDO and Commercial head for BDS:

  • Manage financial processes for BDS, driving for achievement of targets and predictability and alignment with governance processes.

  • Ensure transparency on financial risks and opportunities and verify that projected savings can be delivered.

  • Drive consistent and optimised processes across all 17 towers of BDS

  • Manage and enhance all cross-tower master data. Includes data collection, management and reporting for Headcount, Financials, Savings Opportunities and Ad-Hoc Requests. Requires management of projects and teams.

  • Lead multiple cross-tower workstreams, including directing colleagues

  • Member of BDS Leadership Team

  • Lead cross-tower Commercial activities for BDS, working with Commercial stakeholders to deliver robust, effective and efficient processes

4) Provide leadership of the Statement of Work process for the GDO organisation:

  • Define the strategy, roadmap and processes and global standards

  • Manage the governance, process, solution and day-to-day operations of all third party spend within GDO

  • Lead enhancement program, identifying opportunities, recommending best practise and negotiating with stakeholders at all levels in all teams to gain agreement

  • Manage projects and teams to deliver complex process and solution enhancements

  • Be Product Owner and sole expert for the GDO SOW module across Mars

  • As process and solution expert, advise other teams and functions and work with them to agree future direction and identify integration opportunities (‘thought partner’)
