The Fan and Compressor Aerodynamics Lead Engineer will be responsible for the supporting field and manufacturing activities related to booster and compressor module, as well as design of GE Aerospace’s next generation of compression components and associated technologies.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
As the Compressor Aerodynamics Design Engineer, you will:
Become the aero owner of one of the Flying engine compressor modules supporting its production and repair techniques.
Design aerodynamic compression components and technology.
Perform aerodynamic analysis in accordance with established design practices.
Study test data to validate aerodynamic designs.
Develop tools / software to improve aerodynamic design.
Develop lean processes to improve job productivity.
Contribute to engineering information and lessons learned.
Assure proper documentation of technical data for assigned projects.
Required Qualifications
MSc/BSc in Engineering.
EU work permit required.
Good level of English.
Desired Characteristics
Industry experience in compressor systems aerodynamics.
Engineer Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
Knowledge of aerodynamics design, computational fluid dynamic (CFD) software
Industry experience in Aerodynamics.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Customer satisfaction mindset and positive “can do” attitude.
