Flooring Installer
Responsible for preparing, measuring, and installing various types of flooring in residential, commercial, and industrial settings, ensuring a durable and visually appealing finish.
Key Responsibilities 1)Prepare work surfaces by removing existing flooring, cleaning, leveling, and repairing subfloors, and installing underlayment when required. 2)Measure and cut materials accurately to fit the space, minimizing waste and ensuring proper alignment. 3)Install flooring materials such as hardwood, laminate, vinyl, tile, carpet, linoleum, or concrete using adhesives, fasteners, or other appropriate techniques. 4)Finish installations by applying trim, moldings, baseboards, and transitions, maintaining proper expansion gaps and clean edges. 5)Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Required Skills and Qualifications 1)Manual dexterity and attention to detail for precise cutting and installation. 2)Basic math and measurement skills to calculate material needs and layout. 3)Experience with hand and power tools used in flooring installation preferred. 4)Ability to work independently or as part of a team and manage time effectively. 5)Physical stamina to handle lifting, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
*Prior carpentry, construction or installation experience is preferred, but will train eager self-starters.
Salary: $16.00/hour - $25.00/hour, depending on skills and experience.
