Materials Manager | Warsaw, IN
$28-$30/hr(DOE) |1st Shift(Mon-Fri)
The Role
We are looking for a strategic leader to spearhead our materials planning, procurement, and inventory control. As the Materials Manager, you will oversee a cross-functional team to ensure cost-effective, JIT (Just-In-Time) operations that align with both customer demands and company growth.
Core Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Coach and develop materials and warehouse personnel to meet high-performance operational goals.
- Operational Planning: Manage production scheduling, logistics, and inventory transactions to ensure 100% on-time delivery.
- Supply Chain Management: Oversee procurement and supplier performance while managing PFEP, packaging, and freight strategies.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor Key Operating Indicators (KOIs), conduct cycle counts, and coordinate physical inventories.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and execute cost-reduction initiatives and process enhancements.
What You Bring
- Experience: 5+ years of materials management in a manufacturing environment (Automotive experience is a major plus).
- Leadership: 5+ years of direct supervisory experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and integrated materials management systems.
