SUMMARY

This is an exciting, rare opportunity to work directly inside a brand-new automotive manufacturing plant, playing a key role in bringing the entire facility running. You will support one of the largest EV automotive launches in the U.S., gaining hands-on experience with new automotive EV integration, large scale robotic automation, and high-volume operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will support robot integration, programming, and commissioning efforts for a high‑volume automotive manufacturer in Northern Indiana. The ideal candidate has strong hands‑on experience with Fanuc robotics, body applications, and special means build environments. You will be heavily involved in programming, touch‑ups, commissioning, troubleshooting, and working closely with Quality teams during pre‑commissioning and launch phases.

  • Develop, modify, and optimize Fanuc robot programs for body shop applications

  • Perform robot teaching, touch‑ups, recovery in active production and pre-commissioning environments

  • Configure robot frames, tools, payloads, and TCPs to meet process and quality requirements

  • Support rapid program changes during special means build

  • Assist with robot cell start‑up, offline system programming updates, and commissioning

  • Troubleshoot robot alarms, motion faults, sequencing issues, and ladder logic under tight timelines

  • Provide on‑floor support during peak programming and commissioning periods

  • Collaborate with Quality teams to resolve process repeatability issues

  • Perform touch‑ups to improve weld quality, part accuracy, and tool performance

  • Support containment actions and fast‑turn engineering changes

  • Coordinate with Controls to validate I/O, interlocks, and handshaking

  • Adhere to plant safety requirements while working in active production areas

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-5 years of experience with Fanuc robot setup, troubleshooting, and/or programming

  • Proficiency with Fanuc, including SpotTool+ & V9.40

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced commissioning and launch environmnets

  • This requires working onsite in Warsaw, IN - 6 days per week, 12 hours shift. (OT Compensation!)

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Warsaw, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $41.00/hr.
