National Express LLC is currently seeking an experienced Benefits Specialist to work from our corporate headquarters in Lisle, Illinois. Currently our department is working remotely, but in the near future a hybrid schedule will be put in place. This position will report to the Benefits Manager.
Responsibilities Include:
Oversee the benefits integration for all new acquisitions and start-ups, including: participating in the due diligence and implementation processes, preparing benefits comparisons for leadership review, managing the new benefits enrollment process and conducting location HR/GM benefits trainings
Administer all employee insurance records for TRANSIT locations including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits through maintenance of employee files and employee databases
Manage personnel change activities for employees in TRANSIT, including processing new hires and terminations (including FSA elections and terminations, refunds, arrears and sending out life conversion notices)
Ensure the CSC Benefits log and BCBS’s account structures/characteristic tabs are continually up-to-date
Utilizing customer service skills to determine proper course of action to resolve escalated benefit inquires and claims issues
Creating communication and education materials to effectively communicate with the field on all benefit plan offerings
Assist with new vendor implementation and special projects as assigned

Qualifications
Position Requirements Include:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
3 to 5 years of experience handling group medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and FSA plans
Experience managing complex projects, including implementations and mergers and acquisitions
Experience providing support to multiple locations across North America preferred
Experience presenting to large groups and conducting “train the trainer” sessions preferred
Knowledge of federal and state benefit plan regulations such as COBRA, FMLA, ERISA, and HIPAA
Strong working knowledge of MS Office Software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint); experience using Oracle preferred
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of customers, both internal and external
Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks with limited direction
High level of confidentiality, accuracy, and customer service
Ability to consistently meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines
Experience with US & Canadian Benefits Administration preferred
