ManpowerGroup Supplier Quality Engineer 3 in Warren, Michigan

Our client, an automotive and electric vehicle manufacturer: General Motors Company , is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer 3 to join their team.

As a Supplier Quality Engineer , you will be part of the GM Energy Quality Engineering organization supporting global supplier partners and cross‑functional product development teams .

The ideal candidate will have strong problem‑solving skills , excellent stakeholder communication , and a proactive sense of urgency , which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer 3

Location:

Warren, MI (Hybrid – minimum 3 days onsite per week)

Pay Range:

$43.70 – $49.96 per hour

What’s the Job?

  • Lead execution of the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process for assigned suppliers to ensure program milestones are achieved.

  • Ensure supplier compliance with PPAP, Control Plans, FMEA, and quality system standards .

  • Identify, escalate, and mitigate quality risks through proactive supplier engagement and cross‑functional collaboration.

  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action (8D) activities for out‑of‑standard conditions.

  • Support supplier readiness through on‑site audits, Run‑at‑Rate verification , and international supplier travel as required.

What’s Needed?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technical discipline (or equivalent experience).

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering within automotive or electronics manufacturing.

  • Hands‑on experience with APQP and PPAP in a production or launch environment.

  • Strong background in electronics or printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing .

  • Working knowledge of IATF 16949, GD&T, SPC, FMEA, and root‑cause methodologies .
