Job Description

The Role

General Motors LLC is seeking a highly analytical and results-oriented Strategic Performance Business Analytics Lead to drive data-driven decision-making and optimize business performance across various initiatives. This role will leverage advanced analytics to provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the development and implementation of advanced analytical models and methodologies to assess business performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand business challenges and translate them into data-driven solutions.

  • Develop compelling data stories and visualizations to effectively communicate complex analytical findings to diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership.

  • Facilitate group problem-solving sessions, guiding teams to leverage data for root cause analysis and solution generation.

  • Apply strong business acumen to interpret data in the context of GM's strategic objectives and competitive landscape.

  • Champion a customer-focused approach, ensuring analytical insights directly address and enhance the customer experience.

  • Design and implement dashboards and reports that provide timely and relevant insights into strategic performance.

  • Mentor and guide junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and data excellence.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

  • Proven experience in business analytics, strategic planning, or a related data-intensive role.

  • Demonstrated strong business acumen with the ability to understand complex business operations and strategic objectives.

  • Expert proficiency in developing and implementing data-driven solutions and statistical methodologies.

  • Advanced skills in data storytelling and presenting complex information clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences.

  • Experience facilitating group problem-solving and driving consensus through data insights.

  • In-depth knowledge and practical application of probabilistic analysis and statistical process control (SPC).

  • Strong customer-focused mindset with a track record of using data to improve customer outcomes.

  • Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Master's degree preferred.
