Quality Auditor / Quality Inspector

Adecco Permanent Recruitment is partnering with a confidential, global aerospace and defense manufacturer to identify a Quality Auditor / Inspector for a direct-hire opportunity in Warren, Michigan .
This organization supports complex aerospace component manufacturing and repair, providing advanced engineering and quality solutions to leading OEM customers worldwide.
Position Summary
The Quality Auditor / Inspector will be responsible for auditing the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) to assess conformance, identify improvement opportunities, and support corrective actions. This role also serves as a liaison with customers and vendors to address quality concerns and ensure compliance with aerospace standards.
The position reports to the Quality Manager and operates in a highly regulated aerospace environment.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate product conformance and serve as a delegated release representative for customers
Participate in internal and external quality audits; lead audits when certified as a Lead Auditor
Perform visual and dimensional inspections as required
Identify gaps in process and system compliance and recommend improvements
Work closely with vendors and customers to resolve quality issues
Support follow-up audits related to internal and external findings
Provide support to corporate quality and operational personnel as needed
Maintain current knowledge of applicable standards, including:
ISO 9001
AS9100
Customer-specific and regulatory requirements
Ensure compliance with internal procedures and applicable federal, state, and local regulations
Work independently while maintaining a professional work presence
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Quality Manager
Qualifications & Experience
High School Diploma or GED required
Associate degree preferred or 5+ years of equivalent experience in a Quality Inspection or Quality Auditor role
AS13001 Certification – Common Training for DPVR required
Experience working with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards
Knowledge of Aerospace OEM customer-specific requirements
Proficient in Microsoft Office , with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
Experience interfacing with internal teams, external customers, and third-party auditors
Strong verbal and written communication skills
APQP experience preferred
Familiarity with automotive quality core tools , including root cause analysis and structured problem solving
Valid U.S. passport required
Pay Details: $21.00 to $28.00 per hour
