Metal Grinder – Aerospace (3rd Shift)

Location: Metro Detroit, MI (Warren area)

Pay: $18/hour + 15% shift differential

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Adecco Permanent Recruitment is partnering with a leading aerospace manufacturer in the Metro Detroit area to identify Metal Grinders for 3rd shift opportunities. This role supports precision finishing and deburring of aerospace components in a quality-driven manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate deburring and grinding equipment to meet work instruction requirements

  • Achieve required edge breaks and radii per specifications

  • Select proper deburring media based on job requirements

  • Perform hand drilling, drill press operations, tapping, and basic assembly work

  • Inspect parts for visual defects and surface finish compliance

  • Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gages, thread/radius gages)

  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical specifications

  • Complete work order documentation and maintain material traceability

  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environment

  • Follow all quality, safety, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • 1–2 years of related experience in grinding, deburring, or machining preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents

  • Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, measurements)

  • Experience using precision measuring tools

  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

  • Team-oriented with strong organizational skills

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
