Metal Grinder – Aerospace (3rd Shift)
Location: Metro Detroit, MI (Warren area)
Pay: $18/hour + 15% shift differential
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Adecco Permanent Recruitment is partnering with a leading aerospace manufacturer in the Metro Detroit area to identify Metal Grinders for 3rd shift opportunities. This role supports precision finishing and deburring of aerospace components in a quality-driven manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate deburring and grinding equipment to meet work instruction requirements
Achieve required edge breaks and radii per specifications
Select proper deburring media based on job requirements
Perform hand drilling, drill press operations, tapping, and basic assembly work
Inspect parts for visual defects and surface finish compliance
Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gages, thread/radius gages)
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical specifications
Complete work order documentation and maintain material traceability
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all quality, safety, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
1–2 years of related experience in grinding, deburring, or machining preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, measurements)
Experience using precision measuring tools
Strong attention to detail and quality standards
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Team-oriented with strong organizational skills
Must be authorized to work in the United States
