ManpowerGroup Controls Engineer 3 in Warren, Michigan
Our client, a leading automotive manufacturing organization, is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their team. As a Controls Engineer, you will be part of the Automation and Controls Department supporting multiple plant sites. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Controls Engineer
Location: Warren, MI, Saginaw, MI, Defiance, OH
Pay Range: $50.14/hr - $57.31/hr.
Shifts: Monday – Friday, 1st shift (8am–3pm core hours, 40 hours/week)
Some overtime expected depending on project schedule
Assignment duration: 12 months, with potential for conversion to permanent depending on business needs
What’s the Job?
Design, develop, and optimize automation and control systems including PLC and HMI software.
Engineer electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams and control panels.
Provide technical support for installation, start-up, and training of plant personnel.
Guide suppliers as new tooling is introduced into plant operations.
Travel to plant sites as needed to support project execution.
What’s Needed?
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering preferred (or equivalent experience, 10+ years).
Minimum of 4 years of hands-on controls engineering experience.
Proficiency with Rockwell PLCs and Siemens HMI; Siemens PLC experience a plus.
Ability to work independently and be deployed in the field.
Strong problem-solving, initiative, and team collaboration skills.
