Robert Half Accounting/Cost Manager in Warminster, Pennsylvania
Description
Reputable, services company seeks a detail-oriented and hands-on Accounting/Cost Manager to oversee cost accounting functions, financial reporting activities and project costing. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong foundation in both cost and financial accounting, particularly within manufacturing or construction environments. In this role you will, assist with AR/AP functions, general ledger activities, complete balance sheet reviews, manage the internal and external audit process, assist with M& A due diligence, oversee inventory accounting, analyze financial data to identify trends, and partner with operations and project teams to monitor project costs, margins, and forecasting. This role will have high visibility across finance and operations teams.
How you will make an impact
· Manage and oversee all aspects of cost accounting, including inventory valuation, and standard costing
· Lead PoC accounting for long-term projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance
· Collect and analyze operational cost data
· Maintain cost accounting procedures
· Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
· Analyze production cost
· Ensure compliance with SOX controls and internal policies
· Administer cost accounting principles
· Prepare production reports
· Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes around cost inputs
· Resolve cost inaccuracies
Requirements
The ideal Accounting/Cost Manager will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
Other requirements for the Accounting/Cost Manager role include and are not limited to:
· 5+ years experience in both Cost and Financial Accounting
· Supervisory experience preferred
· Deep experience with Percentage of Completion (PoC) and cost accounting (will come from manufacturing and/or construction)
· Working in SOX required, IFRS a plus
· US GAAP knowledge
