Lumber Yard Worker

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $16 - $17 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Lumber Yard Worker:

• Load and unload lumber, building materials, and other supplies safely and efficiently

• Organize and stack materials in the yard according to size, type, and order requirements

• Assist customers with locating, measuring, and transporting materials

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other yard equipment safely (training may be provided)

• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the yard, including sweeping, clearing debris, and disposing of waste materials

• Inspect materials for damage or defects and report issues to supervisors

• Support shipping and receiving operations as needed

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Prior experience in a lumber yard, warehouse, or construction environment is a plus

• Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50-75 lbs) repeatedly throughout the day

• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

• Strong attention to safety and ability to follow established procedures

• Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
