Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Join a leading company in the foodservice industry known for developing and marketing quality products with innovative packaging solutions. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of production lines and vital components within the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on production lines, conveyor systems, cappers, fillers, labelers, palletizing equipment, boilers, and waste water systems.

  • Focus on mechanical tasks, which make up 80% of the role, with the remaining 20% dedicated to electrical work.

  • Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC motor drives, as well as work on rollers, belts, bushels, bearings, and gear boxes.

  • Read and interpret schematics and blueprints accurately.

  • Utilize skills in hydraulics and pneumatics to maintain equipment functionality.

Essential Skills

  • At least 5 years of maintenance experience.

  • Proficiency with 480 Volt systems.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair AC/DC motor drives.

  • Experience working on rollers, belts, bushels, bearings, and gear boxes.

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.

  • Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • PLC troubleshooting experience.

  • Experience in the food, flavor, beverage, and/or packaging industry.

  • Knowledge of boilers and compressors.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair pumps.

  • High school diploma or GED is required, with any additional education highly regarded.

Work Environment

The work schedule alternates every 30 days between Monday – Thursday and Friday – Monday, from 6 PM to 6 AM. The dress code includes jeans or work pants without holes, solid t-shirts or polos (preferably without buttons or snaps), safety glasses, and steel toe boots. Uniforms will be provided after a trial period.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $58240.00/yr.
