Job Title: Forklift Operator
Job Description
The Forklift Operator safely operates sit-down forklifts and reach trucks to move, load, and pick materials while supporting efficient inventory flow in a fast-paced, team-oriented warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
Operate sit-down forklifts and reach trucks safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the facility.
Load and unload materials from trucks, racks, and staging areas using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Pick and stage orders accurately according to inventory and production requirements.
Handle materials carefully to prevent damage and ensure product quality.
Support inventory control activities by moving, organizing, and replenishing stock as directed.
Work efficiently to meet production goals and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and priorities.
Follow all safety guidelines, procedures, and best practices while operating equipment and working in the warehouse.
Collaborate with coworkers in a team-oriented setting to complete tasks and support overall operational success.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and productivity.
Essential Skills
Proven experience operating a sit-down forklift.
Experience operating a reach truck or similar powered industrial equipment.
Strong material handling skills, including loading, unloading, and staging materials.
Ability to perform accurate picking and inventory-related tasks.
Effective communication skills to work with team members and supervisors.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while meeting production goals and deadlines.
Commitment to safety and adherence to established procedures and guidelines.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with others.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in inventory or warehouse operations.
Experience with order picking and loading in a distribution or manufacturing setting.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling materials and fulfilling orders.
Reliability and strong work ethic with a focus on meeting daily objectives.

This is a Contract position based out of Walton, KY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.50/hr.
