Job Title: Supplier Quality Auditor
Location: Waltham, MA
Type: Contract
Compensation: $63 - $73/hr
Work Model: Onsite
Hours: 40.0 hours per week
Responsibilities
Negotiate favorable terms, volume discounts, and long-term contracts with suppliers.
Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for technical equipment, custom engineered products, systems, software, or components.
Acquire and maintain understanding of technology trends, market forces, cost trends, and supplier technology road maps.
Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
Discuss defects and delivery problems with suppliers and negotiate refunds.
Apply deep expertise in a specialized field to perform complex judgments and develop innovative solutions.
Conduct in-depth analysis with interpretative thinking to define problems and select optimal solutions.
Utilize extensive experience and advanced education to serve as a technical 'expert' within the organization.
Requirements
Minimum of 7- 10 or more years of experience in a specialized field.
External Lead Auditor Certification Required
5+ years of experience in a Supplier Quality Engineer or Auditor role
Advanced college degree or equivalent.
Deep expertise and in-depth knowledge within a specific discipline.
Strong analytical skills and ability to develop innovative solutions.
Experience negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
Excellent understanding of technology trends, market forces, and cost analysis.
