Wolters Kluwer Senior Technical Project and Program Manager in Waltham, Massachusetts
Responsible for managing all aspects of diverse, medium to moderately complex IT projects, including project planning, execution, timing, functionality, quality and cost. Utilizes expertise and leadership skills to direct staff and to resolve issues to ensure project goals and requirements are met. Communicates with key stakeholders to provide timely and accurate information and status updates. Projects involve multiple disciplines across the product engineering organization.
About the Role
Step into a key role as a Senior Technology Project & Program Manager, where you will work as a collaborative problem-solver, engaging in advanced technology projects and playing a significant part in achieving team objectives. In this role you will be guiding projects that span multiple teams and improving our product engineering organization's ability to deliver value now and in the future. The ideal candidate is technically fluent and able to work across teams to realize larger project objectives. In this role you will identify the level of support and coaching needed, distinguishing when a team needs hands-on management from when it's best left to its own devices. This role will not drive every activity but is responsible for ensuring that the projects they support realize the outcomes agreed upon and raise awareness when they are not.
Responsibilities
• Own and manage the intake, prioritization, and execution of new projects and initiatives within a product value stream.
• Lead complex technology workstreams across multiple engineering teams, ensuring alignment and accountability.
• Independently manage project schedules, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Track, analyze, and report on project progress, performance metrics, and outcomes.
• Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and business stakeholders, to drive successful delivery.
• Manage project budgets, resource planning, and capacity allocation effectively.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and provide clear, concise, and timely status updates.
• Ensure delivery meets quality standards, technical specifications, and organizational expectations.
• Champion continuous improvement by coaching and promoting lean and agile practices. Document lessons learned, best practices, and process improvements to inform future initiatives.
• Define, measure, and support the end-to-end flow of work from ideation through general availability.
• Establish and manage clear expectations for upcoming releases throughout the development lifecycle.
• Proactively Identify, mitigate, and escalate risks, issues, and impediments to maintain delivery momentum.

Minimum Requirements
• 3+ years of experience working on technology-powered products as a scrum master, program
manager, engineer, or product owner using agile practices.
• Demonstrated understanding of modern agile software development practices and adaptive
processes for managing programs of work.
• Strong interpersonal leadership skills and ability to commit, influence, motivate, and successfully
manage teams while working in a matrixed structure.
• Ability to analyze data and effectively report problems through written and graphical formats.
Education
• BA/BS or equivalent experience required

Compensation:
$102,600.00 - $179,250.00 USD
This role is eligible for Bonus.
Compensation range listed is based on primary location of the position. Actual base salary offer is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skills, experience and actual hiring location.
