Job Overview
The Senior Manager of Operational Efficiency serves as the implementation partner to Snapdragon Chemistry functional leadership with a focus on project design, technical solution development, data collection, coordination, tracking, cross-functional execution, and reporting out. This role supports senior leaders through proactive assistance, project oversight, and facilitation of effective data gathering/synthesis, technical engineering, and collaboration across teams. The Senior Manager optimizes projects by uncovering root-cause operational inefficiencies and developing scalable, and repeatable solutions to enhance long-term organizational performance.
This role is designed to enhance site-level coordination, operational alignment, and strategic project execution. The Senior Manager of Operational Efficiency will leverage deep scientific and process development knowledge to support broader operational leadership capacity, support senior site leadership, ensure clarity and follow-through on organizational priorities, oversee selected internal Capex efforts, and drive efficiency across teams and processes.
Responsibilities
Operational Alignment & Leadership Support
Serve as a senior operational partner to leadership team, ensuring clarity of priorities and seamless support of daily and long‑term initiatives.
Provide assistance, including project design, action-item tracking, and follow‑up.
Support leadership in maintaining alignment across departments by facilitating communication, preparing briefing materials, and ensuring messaging consistency.
Internal Project & Program Management
Lead internal project planning and execution to ensure deadlines, deliverables, and organizational goals are met.
Drive internal operational efficiency projects, identifying gaps and implementing improvements that enhance productivity.
Generate data to inform decision making using low-cost, off-the-shelf software and hardware
Create dashboards of operational metrics for projects and ongoing management of the business
Track and report on project progress, risks, and outcomes, ensuring stakeholders remain informed and engaged
Coordinate and manage internal Capex projects (non-engineering), partnering with relevant teams to ensure compliance with timelines, budgets, and scope.
Manage and report out on internal R&D projects
Cross-Functional Coordination
Act as a central point of coordination for cross-team initiatives, ensuring smooth collaboration between departments.
Facilitate cross‑departmental meetings, workshops, and discussions to drive alignment and move projects forward.
Build strong relationships across the organization to ensure seamless information flow and problem-solving.
Process & Systems Management
Develop and maintain internal management systems for project tracking, documentation, reporting, and workflow optimization.
Support leaders with data gathering, analysis, and presentation creation as needed to inform strategic decisions.
Identify and implement best practices for internal communication, project governance, and operational processes.
Qualifications/Skills
Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration, project participation, PR&D/Manufacturing, and leadership.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous initiatives.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences.
Proven problem-solving abilities with a proactive and resourceful approach.
Familiarity with Capex processes, project management tools, or operational workflows preferred (training available if needed).
High integrity, discretion, and strong relationship-building skills.
Education, Experience & Licensing Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in chemistry, engineering, project management, business operations, or similar.
Physical Demands, Work Environment, and Travel
Sedentary work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount
of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. The daily
work is performed in an office setting and involves sitting most of the time. Walking and
standing is required only occasionally. Position also requires visual acuity, talking, and fingering .
The estimated salary range of $101,308 – $126,634 reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
