The Salvation Army’sWaltham Corps.,is hiring aHope Kitchen Coordinator &Cookand offers the following benefit package to part-time employees:

Location : 33 Myrtle St., Waltham, MA
Pay Range : $15.00 - $17.05 per hour
28 hours per weekThe Coordinator is responsible to insure the all operations of the HOPE Kitchen and work together with other department heads to do The Salvation Army Mission.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education Requirements:
High School Graduate or Equivalence
Some practical training in social work area preferable
Work Experience:
Minimum of 2 years experience working with a similar program
Other qualifications:
Certification for Food Produce Safety
Certification in Safe Serve approved by Department of Health
Training in maintenance of environment for good preparation
Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals for programs
Clean and maintain Hope Kitchen facilities neat
Keep Sign-in book for meals served current
Keep a record / sign-up of all baked good given to Food Pantry clients
Work with CO to develop and implement a Monthly Menu
Keep ongoing list of needed items for the food program and give it to the Office Manager so the items can be purchased
Work closely Pantry Worker in keeping cupboard stocked and notify Office Manager in a timely manner of shortage or insufficiency to run HOPE Kitchen
Responsible to train, instruct and maintain volunteers that serve at the Hope Kitchen
Keep up to date record of volunteer sign-in sheet and hours volunteered
Work with volunteers/custodian to be sure that ail garbage receptacles are empty and clean at the end of the day
Represent The Salvation Army’s spiritual ministry and social mission in the community at large
Engage in Christian spiritual conversation with members of the public and in the corps facility if opportunity or need present themselves
Pray with individuals when the opportunity or need arise
Recognize spiritual need of persons which may require referral to the Corps Officers
