As an intern, you’ll work alongside our experienced practitioners and with our clients and communities. This hands-on experience will equip you with practical skills, build your network, and provide opportunities that set you up for success.
Stantec is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to assist our growing Roadway, Bridge, Bridge Inspection, Construction, and Aviation groups. Candidates should be technical thinkers with beginner level experience with design/construction. Must be able to work collaboratively with a team of engineers and designers at all levels to deliver quality plans to clients.
Your Key Responsibilities
CAD drafting
Perform simple design calculations
Assist in developing engineering estimates
May sometimes need to assist with deliveries or field work
Other entry level engineering duties, as needed
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Knowledge of AutoCAD or MicroStation software preferred
Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Detail oriented and organized.
Ability to work independently and in a group.
Ability to multitask and work effectively at a fast pace.
Willingness to learn new skills and interface collaboratively with a large and experienced team across all levels and disciplines.
Self-motivated.
Education and Experience
Currently enrolled in college/university in a structural or civil engineering discipline.
Minimum 3.0 GPA. This GPA must be maintained throughout the internship.
Typical office environment working with computers and a dynamic group of engineers. Field work may be required, and appropriate training and safety equipment will be provided.

• $23.47 - $34.50 Hourly
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
