The summer laborers are utilized to cover the summer months to provide overtime relief for the permanent employees covering vacations. The hourly wage begins at $27.37/hr.; however, employees receive the rate of the job they are performing which provides the ability to achieve a higher rate.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to unitizing product, assisting with set ups, adjusting and operating equipment which cuts, folds, stacks and prints sheets of corrugated to designated size. Once the machine is set up and operating correctly, the employee is responsible for safely monitoring the product to ensure a quality product and unitizing the bundles exiting the conveyor. Individuals with mobile equipment experience may be trained, certified and utilized by providing product to the converting machines.

EXPLANATION

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for moving from one machine center/area to another, as dictated by production needs and supervisory direction.
Performs responsibilities and tasks associated with assigned machine center/area, including but not limited to feeding, pulling, stacking, strapping, packer, inspecting, hand assembling, sorting.
Performs quality checks in a manner that is consistent with the expectation for that machine center/area of assignment in a consistent manner.
Adheres to all safety and work rules, company policies and procedures.
Performs housekeeping or other duties, as required.
Other duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be enrolled as a full-time high-school student
Must be at least 18 years old.
Be passionate about safety and maintaining a safe work environment.
Must be able to rotate shifts and work overtime including weekends as needed.
Must have a good attendance record.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Good computer skills.
Demonstrated ability to be solutions oriented and proactive.
Demonstrated ability to learn and work as a cohesive team member.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously.
Mechanical aptitude, ability to read a tape measure and have a strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to maneuver through computer programs to access information and enter accurate information
Self-starter, ability to troubleshoot machinery and solutions oriented.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Starting salary for position: $27.37 per hour.
Bonus: Annual – Based upon achievement of plant performance metrics.

Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision – and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions.
