ASRC Federal AFSS is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. We are seeking a Project Support Specialist to support a NASA contract in Wallops Island, VA.

Job Description: Provide full-time on-site project support to the Facilities Management office (Code 220). Individual needs to be detailed oriented, strong communicator to provide construction management support to NASA Project Managers

Responsibilities:

Administrative Project Support

· Manage visitor and contractor badging and access control. Process Foreign National and Lawful Permanent Resident badges requests.

· Provide Construction Management support for NASA Project Managers.

· Process Construction submittals, schedules and invoices for review and approval.

· Inputs data (submittals, RFIs, etc.) into the current construction management software being utilized by NASA to manage construction projects.

· Attends construction contract pre-construction meetings, pre-bid meetings and design reviews, records minutes and tracks actions items.

· Coordinate meetings/appointments/conferences and arrange for appropriate equipment set up (MSTeams, telecons).

· Prepare agendas, attend meetings as requested, take meeting notes and actions, and transcribe notes from meetings.

· Assist in the execution of office moves, IT coordination, list updates, key requests, door sign requests, and excess requests.

· Maintain office supply inventories.

· Coordinate and prepare shipping documents including packages for shipping with express mail purposes.

· Coordinate and prepare facilities maintenance work orders.

· Maintain office and IT hardware/software supply inventories.

· Prepare, process, and coordinate approval for purchase request and other documents.

· Support NASA Headquarters office of Facilities and Real Estate Division (FRED) initiated training classes held at Greenbelt or Wallops.

· Maintain and update electronic files, records, and data pertaining to the design, construction, operations and maintenance and repair of facilities

· Track and report status of project requirements

· Account for and prepare necessary documentation for total project travel (plan vs. actual).

· Records Management (maintain records for required documentation) and Property Custodian (assist in inventory/tracking of branch property).

· Perform additional duties required to support all aspects of the Facilities Management Division

Requirements:

· Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Responsible for communicating project status and issues to customers and leadership as they arise.

· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. (Microsoft Project experience preferred, Additional tools as needed)

· Outstanding customer service skills, must be proactive and responsive to customer requests. Ability to learn quickly and think critically to create innovative solutions.

· Must have the ability to balance multiple priorities and produce quality work efficiently.

· Ability to work on site during normal business hours.

· Individual must meet government NAC and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to NASA GSFC. Extensive background investigation will be performed as a requirement of the job. Some travel may be required.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma and 3 – 4 years of related professional experience
