Job Description

Summary/Objective\ The Pipe Machine position is responsible for running various duct types on Pipelines 1& 2 and the INET line. This position works closely with Wrapper Puller to efficiently run duct production.

Essential Functions\ Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Must possess thorough skills and understanding in duct manufacturing materials and duct recipes.

Operate and know multiple machines, including winding equipment, to include calibrating and cleaning.

Know how to read gear chart and run the pipe in the proper gear.

Weigh and document waste, track supplies.

Fill out daily production log.

Attends staff trainings and meetings as requested.

Adheres to the companys principles, demonstrating behaviors that support teamwork and a positive work environment.

Be active and involved in other production areas when short staffed or expertise is needed. Willingness to rotate to jobs where work is needed.

Adhere to all safety rules, including wearing the proper job-related Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Keep cutting work area clean, organized and free of hazards.

Willingly participate in requests that may fall outside normal job functions.

Supervisory Responsibility\ This position has no supervisory responsibility.

Work Environment\ This job operates in a manufacturing facility. This role routinely uses standard hand tools related to preventative maintenance of equipment and systems.

Physical Demands\ The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Continual standing and walking during shift.

Continual reachingwith hands/fingers/arms during shift.

Continual climbing, balancing, kneeling and crouching during shift.

Some lifting and moving heavy manufactured parts.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Will encounter toxic chemicals. SDS will be provided prior to start of position.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work\ This is full-time. Employee is expected to work 40 hours per work week. Events may occur during evenings and weekends.

Travel\ Travel may be required occasionally between the factory and corporate office.

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED.

Requires knowledge of FRP manufacturing methods, raw materials and equipment.
