Providence St. Joseph Health Senior Sterile Processing Technician - Central Supply in Walla Walla, Washington

Description Performs all functions in Central Processing Department. Cleans, decontaminates, sterilizes according to unit needs and requests. Must take call on a rotating basis during hours the Central Processing Department is not open. Performs any other related duties as assigned such as completes, records and reports all biological monitoring, and air removal tests. Periodic inventory inspections to maintain adequate stock and supply levels. Serves as department expert and functions as a preceptor for new employees and a resource for CPD staff. Maintains close working relationships with surgical services team, suppliers, infection control, environmental services, clinical departments and materials management. Diploma or GED National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association upon hire, Or National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution upon hire. 3 years of Central Supply, Processing or CNA experience. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
