Salary Range: 90k-100K
The Accounts Payable Manager will primarily oversee the Accounts Payable function, ensuring timely, accurate and efficient processing of vendor invoices and payments. This role will be key to maintaining financial integrity, optimizing processes, and fostering positive internal and external relationships while supporting the company’s cash flow objectives.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable team.
• Supervise, train, and mentor the Accounts Payable Team to ensure efficient operations and workload distribution.
• Manage vendor and internal relationships, addressing inquiries and resolving discrepancies promptly and professionally.
• Assist with the payment runs (2 times a week) to ensure timely disbursements and optimal cash management.
• Assist with internal audits and year-end audits.
• Maintain the supplier Masterfile.
• Enforce strong internal controls to mitigate fraud and adhere to company policies.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and workflow optimization.
• Communicate issues in a timely fashion.
• Assist with the implementation of a new Payables solution.
• Ad hoc reporting as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business
• 5+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Strong problem-solving ability
• Experience in high-volume invoice and three-way match environment
• Clear and concise communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• AP project experience
• Familiarity with AP automation tools
• Experience managing a Team remotely
• Experience with Canadian taxes (GST/HST/PST)
• Attend work on a regular and dependable basis.
• Ability to successfully pass state and/or federal required Background Checks.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Ability to comply with all policies and procedures established by company.
