New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG), a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources, is seeking a Data Analyst to serve as the key point of contact regarding data management and modification for the Maximo, Oracle and Microsoft Project/Primavera P6 software. Investigate, analyze, and when applicable, communicate and rectify all operational issues within NJNG PMO production systems (scheduling, cost, risk management tools, and Power BI dashboards). This position is the subject matter expert regarding Power BI creation for all operational needs. Act a central liaison for all productivity reporting within Energy Delivery. Analyze daily operating metrics and statistics to proactively identify opportunities for improvement.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing large volumes of operational data from various sources (Maximo, Oracle, IFS, production systems) to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.

  • Creating and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to operational efficiency.

  • Presenting complex data insights through clear and concise dashboards and reports for decision-making.

  • Identify opportunities to optimize operational processes based on data analysis findings and collaborating with relevant teams to implement changes.

  • Utilizing statistical modeling and predictive analytics techniques to forecast future performance and proactively address potential issues.

  • Partner with various departments to gather data, interpret results, and align strategies.

Position Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree or commensurate job experience is required.

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

  • 1-2 years of experience working with Microsoft Project, Power BI, Maximo and similar ERP systems is required.

  • Expertise in software such as Power BI, SQL for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.

  • Knowledge of field operations and work activities helpful.

  • Strong communication skills, with excellent analytical capabilities.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently is also required.

  • Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.

Other Details:

Compensation: Expected base pay range for this role will be $66,300- $84,500.

Base pay is based on several factors including, experience, skills, and knowledge.

This role will be eligible to participate in an annual short term incentive program.
