Cummins Inc. Engine Field Service Technician (14x14-Bilingual English-French) in Wabush, Newfoundland
Cummins is looking for a certified Diesel Technician/Mechanic to complete its team in Wabush NL.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Anticipates and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete less complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.
Performs preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engine and related components in the field.
Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens. Identifies additional service opportunities with customer.
Completes training in line with skill and business requirements.
Maintains service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor.
Qualifications
A copy or your red seal certification will be required
A local driver's license verification will be required
A copy of a 5 year driver's abstract will be required
Responsibilities
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- Heavy duty mechanics Red seal certification
Experience:
Basic level field service work experience
Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.
Mining experience is an asset as this position supports our mining team.
Customer facing service experience is required.
Bilingual (French-English) is an asset for this role.
About the role:
Safety Sensitive Position
14 shifts on, 14 shifts off rotation
Day and Night shifts
Cummins offers on-site accommodation.
Cummins covers the costs of flights from a major hub city to Wabush, NL.
Random drug and alcohol testing on site.
Service vehicle and tooling are provided.
Position will support our mining team.
Cummins offers a 5000$ sign on bonus for this position.
Hourly wages starts at 60.00$ hourly
