Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Director | Technology Business Management Reports to: VP, Digital Solutions and Enterprise Architecture Location: Hybrid POSITION SUMMARY: This position will lead a team of resources to develop policies, procedures and practices relating to ITDS services, ITDS governance, planning and financial management, asset management, procurement by developing and maintaining standards and framework for services definitions, maintain and enhance cost modeling and automation methodology and tools, develop and implement a Show back/Chargeback strategy, and analyze benchmarks to evaluate and interpret ITDS service performance. The Director of Technology Business Management (TBM) is a strategic leader responsible for driving financial transparency, operational efficiency, and value realization of technology investments within a healthcare organization. This role bridges technology and business functions, ensuring that ITDS resources align with clinical and administrative priorities to improve patient care, optimize costs, and support innovation. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategic TBM Leadership: Develop and implement TBM frameworks to manage technology costs, consumption, and performance. Partner with CIO, CFO, and clinical leaders to align IT investments with organizational goals. Financial Management & Transparency: Oversee IT budgeting, forecasting, and cost allocation models. Provide actionable insights into technology spend, enabling informed decision-making. Technology Portfolio & Value Optimization: Manage the technology portfolio, ensuring investments deliver measurable business and clinical outcomes. Drive initiatives for cost optimization and operational efficiency across IT services. Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations (HIPAA, HITECH) and cybersecurity standards. Establish governance processes for technology procurement and vendor management. Analytics & Reporting: Implement TBM tools (e.g., Apptio or similar) for cost modeling and performance tracking. Deliver executive dashboards and reports on IT financial health and value metrics. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between IT, finance, and clinical operations. Communicate complex technology and financial concepts to non-technical stakeholders. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field Certification/Registration/Licensure: PREFERRED: Certification in Technology Business Management (TBM) framework Experience: REQUIRED: 5 years of experience This role requires strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills, with expertise in Technology Business Management (TBM) and IT financial management processes. Possess experience in budgeting, risk management, conflict resolution, and matrix environment management, along with industry knowledge in IT and financial services, and the ability to advise executives on business and financial matters.
