Robert Half Procurement Specialist in Vonore, Tennessee

Description

We are looking for a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team in Vonore, Tennessee, on a long-term contract basis. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing environment while ensuring efficient procurement operations. In this role, you will collaborate with various teams and play a key part in maintaining seamless inventory management and supplier relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee procurement activities, including inventory management, purchase orders, and supplier coordination.

• Calculate material costs accurately and manage inventory utilization effectively.

• Track incoming shipments and liaise with freight providers to optimize delivery schedules and costs.

• Monitor product delivery timelines to ensure timely arrival of critical components.

• Conduct detailed reviews of purchase orders to prevent errors and maintain precise records.

• Perform forecasting and prediction analysis to anticipate material needs and minimize inventory disruptions.

• Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile invoices and manage purchasing records.

• Utilize NetSuite and advanced Microsoft Excel tools to input data, create reports, and analyze procurement metrics.

• Coordinate logistics and shipping processes to support production requirements efficiently.

• Work closely with stakeholders to address procurement challenges and improve operational workflows.

Requirements • Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management within a manufacturing setting.

• Strong ability to manage inventory control and job costing processes.

• Demonstrated expertise in logistics coordination, including freight and shipping schedules.

• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to review and validate complex procurement orders.

• Analytical skills for forecasting material needs and minimizing inventory issues.

• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with finance and other teams.

• Proficiency in NetSuite and advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities.

• Availability to work on-site for the duration of the long-term contract.
