Job Description:

The Assembly Line position involves inspecting, handling, and preparing glass products for shipment in a clean, safe, and fast-paced plant environment. This entry-level role involves working with machinery, powered industrial trucks, and conveyor systems while following strict safety, quality, and performance standards.

Pay: $19.48hr

Shifts:

  • Readiness to work night shifts (6:30 p.m.–6:45 a.m.) after initial training, as required by the schedule.

  • Ability to work C and D shifts or K shift (M–W or M–Th, 6:30 p.m.–6:45 a.m.), as scheduled.

  • Availability to attend first-shift orientation and training (typically Tuesday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.) before transitioning to the regular shift.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough visual inspections of glass products to ensure they meet quality standards.

  • Follow all safety, quality, performance, and attendance rules and procedures at all times.

  • Load and unload glass on various conveyor systems in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Move racks of product using powered industrial trucks as directed.

  • Band racks of product according to established specifications and guidelines.

  • Pack products into racks for shipment to other areas of the plant or directly to customers.

  • Perform basic adjustments and minor repairs to machinery as needed and/or as directed by leadership.

  • Generate, update, and maintain required production and quality records accurately and on time.

Essential Skills

  • Experience working in a warehouse or plant environment is preferred for entry-level inspection roles.

  • Ability to perform visual inspection tasks with attention to detail and quality.

  • Capability to operate or learn to operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely.

  • Ability to work with and around conveyor systems and production machinery.

  • Comfort with general production, assembly, and machine operation tasks.

  • Willingness and ability to follow detailed safety, quality, and performance procedures.

  • Strong reliability and commitment to attendance, especially during the first 90 days.

  • Ability to complete operator certifications for all assigned functions.

Work Environment

This role is based in a clean, safe plant production environment focused on glass manufacturing. You work around conveyor systems, production machinery, and powered industrial trucks while following established safety protocols. The schedule includes night shifts such as C and D shifts or K shift (typically Monday–Wednesday or Monday–Thursday, 6:30 p.m.–6:45 a.m.), with initial training and orientation conducted on first shift (Tuesday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.) before transitioning to your regular schedule. You must wear safety shoes made of leather, which you provide yourself, while the company supplies high-visibility vests, hearing protection, and eye protection. The environment emphasizes thorough training, strong safety practices, and strict attendance expectations, especially within the first 90 days.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.48 - $19.48/hr.
