Job Title: Deburr Technician Job Description
The Deburr Technician finishes precision aerospace parts by safely removing burrs, creating edge breaks, and blending surfaces to meet blueprint and customer specifications. You will use hand tools and small power tools, read basic drawings, and verify quality with common measuring equipment to ensure parts meet stringent aerospace requirements.
Responsibilities
Review work instructions, routers, tooling, and planning to confirm the correct process and quality requirements before starting each job.
Perform manual deburring, edge breaking, and surface blending using files, deburr knives, scrapers, countersinks, rotary tools, belt sanders, and other small power tools.
Read and interpret basic blueprints to verify configuration and finish callouts; follow specifications typical of aerospace manufacturing.
Inspect and verify part features and dimensions using gauges, scales, calipers, and micrometers.
Complete job order paperwork accurately and on time, including part counts, tie-ins, and travelers.
Perform related finishing tasks such as flat-pattern deburring, tab trimming, and checking or straightening as needed.
Essential Skills
Previous deburr, grinding, or sanding experience.
Experience using hand and power tools.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Proficiency in using gauges, scales, calipers, micrometers, and other basic measuring equipment.
Capability to perform laborious work and heavy lifting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- General labor experience.

Work Environment
The work is conducted in an industrial manufacturing environment producing large airplane parts, spread across three different buildings. The equipment in these buildings is large and noisy when operational. The facility is open air, which may result in varying temperatures based on the weather. The position is on the second shift, from 2pm to 10:30pm, Monday to Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vista, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
