We are looking for an enthusiastic and inquisitive Systems Engineer responsible for the development and maintenance of PACCAR's Mainframe applications. The development and maintenance activity predominantly uses COBOL, IMS, DB2, JCL and CICS.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with customers to define, design, and propose alternative solutions in response to changing business needs.
Work with customers to troubleshoot reported issues.
Develop quality code and its associated documentation, adhering to team & departmental guideline
Resolves production support problems. Develop and suggest alternative approaches to resolving problems
Must be able and willing to work weekends and evenings to support on-call responsibilities as needed is required.

Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field desired.
Knowledge & Skills REQUIRED:
5-8 years software engineering experience including code development, scripting, workflow and data mapping.
Minimum 2+ years mainframe support experience: COBOL, IMS (DB), DB2, CICS, JCL
Advanced computer system skills including use of word processing, databases, and spreadsheets
Strong verbal/written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and/or as a team member.
PACCAR systems experience a plus
Agile experience a plus
Knowledge of AI-assisted modernization tools experience a plus
Knowledge of .NET (C#) / Java programming languages is a plus
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
Experience programming in one or more structured languages
Technical / Professional Experience Desired:
Warranty Experience
SOX/Compliance reporting
PACCAR systems experience a plus
